Meet Alexander Rossi’s Wife Kelly Rossi formerly known as Kelly Mossop! Rossi a driver for Andretti AutoSports won the Indy 500 in 2016; he was just a rookie at the time. Since then, Rossi has won the 2018 Grand Prix of Long Beach.

The first thing we can tell you about this Canadian beauty is that Kelly Mossop graduated in 2011 from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario with a Bachelor of Social Work and a minor in sociology.

She worked as a customer success manager for the cloud-based software platform PointClickCare; Kelly initially joined PointClick as an Account Development Representative in November 2013.

Furthermore, she is close friends with other Racing wags, especially Becky Dalton, James Hinchcliffe’s pretty girlfriend.

Alexander Rossi asked Kelly to marry him on September 25, 2022. He didn’t do it alone; both their dogs, Brunner George and Diane Keaton, were with him, and he did it on the same day as Kelly’s birthday.

Alexander Rossi Biography

Alexander Michael Rossi (born September 25, 1991) is an accomplished American racing driver carving a successful career in motorsports. Currently competing in the IndyCar Series for Ed Carpenter Racing, Rossi’s journey has taken him from Formula One to conquering the Indianapolis 500 and achieving success in endurance racing.

Born and raised in Nevada City, California, Rossi demonstrated an early passion for racing. He began his career in the United States before making the bold decision to move to Europe as a teenager, chasing his dream of Formula One.

Early Career and Formula BMW Championship

Rossi’s early racing endeavors included karting, where he became the IKF Grand National Champion in the 100cc Yamaha class in 2005. The following year, he earned the Skip Barber National Scholarship and competed in the Skip Barber National Championship, finishing third overall and becoming the youngest winner in the championship’s history at age 14.

In 2007, Rossi raced in the Formula BMW USA series, securing third place overall with three wins and five podium finishes. He returned to the series in 2008 with EuroInternational, a team known for its championship-winning pedigree. Rossi dominated the season, winning the overall championship and becoming the first American Formula BMW Champion in the Americas Championship, with an impressive ten wins out of fifteen races. He capped off the season by winning the 2008 Formula BMW World Final in Mexico City, earning himself a Formula One test with BMW Sauber F1 Team.

International Formula Master and GP3 Series

In 2009, Rossi ventured to Europe to compete in the International Formula Master with Hitech Racing before moving to ISR Racing. He secured three race wins, showcasing his talent on international circuits like Brno, Spa, and Imola. His performance earned him fourth place overall in the championship and the distinction of being the highest-placed rookie driver.

Rossi continued his ascent in 2010, joining ART Grand Prix in the GP3 Series. He secured two wins and finished fourth in the series, further solidifying his reputation as a rising star.

World Series by Renault and GP2 Series

The following year, Rossi progressed to the Formula Renault 3.5 Series with Fortec Motorsport. He won the opening race of the season in Aragón and another at Le Castellet, ultimately finishing third in the championship and earning the title of top rookie driver.

Rossi also gained experience in the GP2 Asia Series in 2009-10, making a strong impression with Team Meritus. In 2013, he debuted in the GP2 Series, finishing 3rd in his first race. He later joined Racing Engineering in 2015 and finished second in the championship, demonstrating his competitiveness at this level.

Formula One Journey (2012-2016)

Rossi’s talent and determination led him to Formula One. He served as a test driver for Caterham F1 in 2012 and participated in practice sessions at several Grand Prix weekends, becoming the first American to drive in a Formula One session during a race weekend since Scott Speed in 2007.

In 2014, Rossi joined Marussia F1 as a reserve driver. He made his Formula One debut in 2015 with the renamed Manor Marussia F1 Team, participating in five Grands Prix. His best finish was twelfth place at his home Grand Prix in the United States.

Despite his efforts, Rossi was unable to secure a full-time Formula One drive for the 2016 season.

IndyCar Series: A New Chapter (2016-Present)

Rossi returned to the United States and joined Andretti Autosport for the 2016 IndyCar Series season. In a remarkable turn of events, he won the 2016 Indianapolis 500 as a rookie, stunning the racing world with his fuel-saving strategy. He finished eleventh in the series points standings and was named the series’ Rookie of the Year.

Rossi continued with Andretti Autosport, securing his first road course win at Watkins Glen International in 2017. The 2018 and 2019 seasons were particularly successful, with Rossi finishing second and third in the Drivers’ Championship point standings, respectively, establishing himself as a top contender in the series.

Sports Car Racing

Rossi has also participated in sports car racing, making his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013. He joined Acura Team Penske for endurance races in 2019 and later Wayne Taylor Racing, with whom he won the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2021.

Alexander Rossi’s career is a testament to his talent, perseverance, and adaptability. From his early days in karting to Formula One and his current success in IndyCar, Rossi has consistently demonstrated his passion for racing and his ability to compete at the highest levels of motorsport.
