5’9 Elle Hinojosa, born Ellie Hinojosa in San Antonio, Texas, is a gifted model the daughter of Mr. Gilbert and his pretty wife Amy Hinojosa, also proud parents to Elle’s sisters Rachel and Tori.
Elle Hinojosa graduated from Reagan High School where she was a member of the cheerleading squad. We are not sure if Elle pursued a college career, but we do know that she got into modeling, represented by Block and Ross Agencies, and most recently as a Energy Drink girl.

William Byron Biography
William Byron’s interest in racing sparked at a young age. At six years old, watching a stock car race on television ignited his passion, which led to attending a race at Martinsville Speedway in 2006. As a teenager, Byron honed his skills on the iRacing simulator, achieving impressive results with over 100 virtual wins and 298 top-five finishes.
Legend Car Debut
In 2012, Byron and his father decided to explore opportunities for him to race real cars. He began racing Legends cars at the age of 15, which is considered relatively late compared to many modern drivers. Despite starting later, Byron quickly excelled, winning 33 races in his first year and becoming the Legend Car Young Lions Division champion.
JR Motorsports Late Model Program
In 2014, Byron joined JR Motorsports’ late model program while continuing to race Legends cars. He drove the No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet for JRM at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina. During that season, Byron secured one victory and achieved 11 top-five finishes, ultimately finishing second in points to his teammate Josh Berry at Hickory.
NASCAR K&N Pro Series East
In 2015, Byron was signed by HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks to compete in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, with sponsorship from Liberty University. He also continued racing late models for JR Motorsports. Byron made his K&N East debut in February at New Smyrna Speedway, finishing 7th. He then won the second race of the season at Greenville-Pickens Speedway, leading all 152 laps from the second starting position.
In July, Byron made his ARCA Racing Series debut at Lucas Oil Raceway, driving the No. 55 Liberty University Toyota Camry for Venturini Motorsports. He finished second after leading 120 laps. Byron’s strong performance continued throughout the K&N East season, resulting in four wins and the series championship. In addition, he and his team participated in the 2015 K&N Pro Series West races at Sonoma and Phoenix, finishing fifth and second, respectively.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
On October 29, 2015, Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) announced that Byron would drive the team’s No. 9 Toyota Tundra full-time in the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. To prepare him, KBM entered the No. 9 truck for him in the 2015 Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway. Byron’s 2016 season started with a crash on the final lap at Daytona, resulting in a 13th-place finish, followed by an engine failure at Atlanta, placing him 32nd. He secured his first top-three and top-ten finish in the Truck Series with a third-place result at Martinsville.
In May, Byron won his first Truck Series race at Kansas after avoiding a last-lap crash, followed by a second win at Texas in June. He won again at Iowa and Kentucky, moving into first place in the points standings. His fifth win of the season came at Pocono Raceway, breaking the Camping World Truck Series record for most wins by a rookie, previously held by Kurt Busch in 2000 with four wins.
During the playoffs, Byron won the first race of the Round of 8 at New Hampshire, but an engine failure at Phoenix in the Round of 6 ended his championship hopes. He finished the season fifth in the standings with seven wins, eleven top-five finishes, and 16 top-ten finishes in 23 races. Byron clinched the owners’ championship for the No. 9 team and was named Rookie of the Year.
Return to the Truck Series
Byron returned to the Truck Series in June 2021, driving the No. 27 for Rackley WAR at Nashville Superspeedway. On April 7, 2022, he drove the No. 7 for Spire Motorsports, securing the team’s first Truck Series win at Martinsville. On March 9, 2023, Byron returned to Kyle Busch Motorsports for the first time in six years, driving the No. 51 at Bristol Dirt, Darlington, and North Wilkesboro.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Career
In August 2016, William Byron signed a multi-year contract with Hendrick Motorsports to drive the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro SS full-time for JR Motorsports in the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. He nearly grabbed a win at Michigan, finishing second to Denny Hamlin. The following week, Byron secured his first Xfinity Series victory at Iowa after Christopher Bell’s late-race wreck, battling with Ryan Sieg, who finished second. He followed that with another win the next week at Daytona in an overtime finish. Byron also added a third Xfinity win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and a fourth at Phoenix, which qualified him for the Championship 4 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Byron won the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship at Homestead, holding off his Championship 4 teammate Elliott Sadler in the closing laps.
Xfinity Series Returns
Byron returned to the Xfinity Series in 2022 for the first time since his championship season. He drove the JR Motorsports No. 88 to a second-place finish at Texas and finished 26th at New Hampshire. He also piloted the Hendrick Motorsports No. 17 at Watkins Glen, battling fiercely for the lead with Ty Gibbs until both spun off-course on the final restart, resulting in a 25th-place finish for Byron.
In 2023, Byron drove the No. 17 in a single race at COTA, finishing as the runner-up to A. J. Allmendinger.
In 2024, Byron is scheduled to drive the No. 17 in four races: Phoenix, Darlington, Pocono, and Watkins Glen.
NASCAR Cup Series Career
2018: Rookie of the Year
In August 2017, Hendrick Motorsports announced that Byron would replace Kasey Kahne in the No. 5 car for 2018. However, he was later assigned to the No. 24, while Chase Elliott moved to the rebranded No. 9 car. Byron inherited Kahne’s No. 5 team, including crew chief Darian Grubb. In October 2018, Chad Knaus took over as Byron’s crew chief for the 2019 season. Byron clinched the Rookie of the Year award after the penultimate race at ISM Raceway.
2019: Playoff Debut
Byron started the 2019 season strong by winning the pole for the Daytona 500. His consistent performance earned him his first Cup Series playoff berth. He advanced to the Round of 12 after finishing sixth at the Charlotte Roval but was eliminated after the Kansas race.
2020: First Cup Win
Byron won Duel 2 of the 2020 Bluegreen Vacations Duels, starting fourth in the Daytona 500 (where he finished 40th). He secured his first career Cup Series win at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona in August, advancing to the playoffs. However, an accident at Bristol led to a 38th-place finish and his elimination from the playoffs after the first round. He signed a contract extension with Hendrick Motorsports through the 2022 season.
2021
Byron qualified second for the 2021 Daytona 500. After a rough start to the season, he won at Homestead-Miami Speedway, leading 101 of the final 112 laps. This victory kicked off an eleven-race top-10 streak, including top-5 finishes at Martinsville, Talladega, Darlington, and Dover. He finished 11th at the Circuit of the Americas, ending the streak. He then finished fourth at Charlotte in the Coca-Cola 600. After a wreck at Sonoma, Byron rebounded with back-to-back third-place finishes at Nashville and Pocono. He struggled in the next four races but finished sixth at Watkins Glen. He made it to the Round of 12 in the playoffs but was eliminated after poor finishes at Las Vegas and Talladega. Byron finished the season with a career-best 10th in the points standings.
2022
Byron had two DNFs to start the 2022 season, but rebounded with wins at Atlanta and Martinsville. He signed a contract extension with Hendrick Motorsports through 2025. At Darlington, he was close to a win before being spun out by Joey Logano. His hauler’s generator caught fire before the Indianapolis race, but the car was undamaged. At Texas, he spun Denny Hamlin, resulting in a fine and points deduction, which was later amended on appeal. He was eliminated after the Round of 8 at Martinsville and finished the season a career-best sixth in points.
2023: Dominant Season
Byron started 2023 with a DNF at the Daytona 500. He then won back-to-back races at Las Vegas and Phoenix. The No. 24 team faced penalties for unapproved parts found at Phoenix, but the points deductions were later rescinded on appeal. Further penalties were assessed after Richmond for alterations to the car’s greenhouse. At Darlington, Byron scored his seventh career win, marking the 100th win for the No. 24. He won his fourth race of the season at Atlanta and his fifth at Watkins Glen. His sixth win came in the Round of 12 opener at Texas, marking Hendrick Motorsports’ 300th Cup Series victory. Byron finished the 2023 season third in the points standings.
2024: Daytona 500 Champion and Late-Season Controversy
Byron started the 2024 season by winning the Daytona 500, the first for the No. 24 since 2005 and for Hendrick Motorsports since 2014. He later won at the Circuit of the Americas and Martinsville (where HMS took the top 3 spots). Byron made the Championship 4, but his entry was controversial due to penalties for Austin Dillon and Ross Chastain for potential team orders. Ultimately, Byron finished third in the championship race.
2025: Second Daytona 500 Win
